Job Description
Quality Control Inspector responsible for incoming, in-process, and finished part inspections to verify tight-tolerance machined components meet drawing specifications and quality standards. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 5 years of related inspection experience Mechanical inspection experience Strong knowledge of inspection tools Strong knowledge of advanced shop mathematics Strong knowledge of machine shop practices Thorough knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Ability to work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions Computer skills Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined parts Experience performing incoming material inspections Experience performing in-process and finished part inspections Preferred Skills CMM experience PC-DMIS experience Experience working in a machine shop or precision manufacturing environment Experience inspecting subassemblies Experience verifying parts against customer quality standards Job Responsibilities Inspect incoming materials for conformance to specifications Perform in-process inspections throughout production Inspect finished parts and subassemblies for conformance to quality assurance standards Verify tight-tolerance machined parts meet drawing requirements Use inspection tools to measure and evaluate machined components Apply GD&T requirements during inspection activities Interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions Document inspection results using computer systems Identify nonconforming parts or materials Support quality checks at various stages of production Ensure inspected products meet applicable quality standards
