As an Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products and components meet quality standards and comply with Federal Aviation Regulations. This is a critical role in our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining the safety and integrity of our products. Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements. Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, as well as rejecting and returning unacceptable materials before sending them to production line. Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor. Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work. Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database. Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements. Keeps measurement equipment operating accurately by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, keeping up with regular training and reading technical publications. Performs and records tests as required by the technical data. Prepares FAA Form 8130-3 and teardown reports. Prepares Work Packages with technical data and any other required resources. Carry out duties assigned by departmental managers and supervisors. Participates in meetings, trainings and in service education, as required. • Performs other duties as assigned. Duties Conduct thorough quality inspections of aircraft components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems to verify dimensional accuracy and surface integrity. Coordinate measuring machine (CMM) operations to assess complex geometries and critical features of components with high precision. Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics, non-conformances, and process deviations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Participate in internal and external quality audits, preparing documentation and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO 9001 and other industry standards. Skills Extensive knowledge of calibration techniques using calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and vision inspection systems for precise measurement tasks. Excellent analysis skills for identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments confidently while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines. Effective communication skills for documenting findings clearly and collaborating with cross-functional teams on quality issues.
