We currently work on Rolls Royce RB211-535 andIAE V2500 A1/A5
engines.Position Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Control Detail Inspector to perform inspections of commercial aviation engine parts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all parts meet strict aerospace industry standards while contributing to process improvements and maintaining compliance with quality management systems.Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Part Inspections- Perform thorough inspections of aviation parts using OEM technical data, FAA/EASA airworthiness directives, work scopes, and PCDMIS software to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable specifications.
- Tag parts serviceable, unserviceable, or rejected based on results. Generate Inspection Reports for modules/mini modules as required.
- Review 3D scanning data, probing data, surface analysis, and dimensional inspections to identify deviations or defects.
- Learn and become a power user in the use of the PCDMIS Software and the Hexagon Metrology Arm as well as Bischoff proprietary and industry standard automated solutions. Metrology and Measurement Analysis
- Analyze and interpret 3D scanning and probe data to verify part geometry and adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) requirements.
- Evaluate and compare scan results to CAD models to detect non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop automated inspection routines and optimize scanning processes for efficiency and accuracy. Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company policies by maintaining high-quality standards. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the inspection processes using advanced metrology techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and reduce inspection lead times.
Required Qualifications:
Education / Certification- Prefer a Powerplant License or equivalent combination of education and work experience in the areas of metrology, engineering, and inspections. Experience
- Minimum 2 years of technical related experience (dimensional and detail inspections, metrology solutions, quality control is a plus) Technical Skills
- Experience with interpreting turbine engine OEM technical data/manuals
- Strong knowledge of
GD&T, CAD
models, and technical drawings.- Experience with inspection measurement devices (micrometer, caliper, etc.)
- Proficiency in operating and programming Zeiss GOM systems and analyzing scan data is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating and programming in PCDMIS Hexagon Metrology Arm systems and analyzing data is a plus.
- Experience with metrology, dimensional analysis, and non-contact scanning techniques is a plus. Soft Skills
