Job Description
Objective This position will support the plant by serving as the Quality Management Representative, ensuring that the Quality Management System (QMS) is established, implemented, maintained, and continuously improved in compliance with
IATF 16949, OEM
customer-specific requirements, and Nemak internal standards. The role acts as the main quality liaison between the plant, certification bodies, and customers, contributing to customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Main Responsibilities Serve as the plant-level Quality Management Representative in accordance withIATF 16949
requirements. Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) is established, implemented, maintained, and continuously improved at plant level. Coordinate, lead, and support internal, external, certification, and customer audits (IATF, OEM, and customer-specific). Act as the primary plant contact with certification bodies, OEM customers, and Tier 1 customer quality representatives. Ensure OEM customer-specific requirements (CSRs) are understood, implemented, and maintained within plant processes. Report QMS performance, audit results, KPIs, and improvement actions to plant and corporate management. Drive timely and effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa). Maintain and control quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records. Support the implementation and effective use of Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans). Promote a strong quality culture through training, awareness, and engagement across the plant. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing and quality management systems Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and OEM customer-specific requirements Experience leading internal, external, and customer auditsSkills:
Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans), problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa), audit management Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and time management skills Proficiency in MS Office tools and basic knowledge ofSAP IATF 16949
