JOB SUMMARY

Quality inspector level 1 is responsible for inspection of product and all associated documentation

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist the Work Cell in performing and approving First Article Inspections Conduct In-Process inspection measurements to support internal customers Perform Receiving Inspection of incoming product from processing including certifications Perform final inspection of product Submit and administer Non-Conformances for Material Review Board processing Prepare for and attend status meetings Log departmental KPI's Prepare packers for part shipment Record inspection results as applicable (AS9102) Lead quality troubleshooting root cause analysis with work cell teams Create internal and external corrective actions Perform root cause investigation/analysis File data packages from sub-contractors Prepare final customer paperwork and submit in appropriate manner, (email, Ne-Inspect, etc.) Perform raw material/hardware inspections Operate the FARO arm Operate the Micro View vision machine Operate the Hexagon CMM's Other duties as required

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

: Strong blue-print reading with advanced understanding of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing measurements (true position, surface profile, concentricity, etc) Proficiency utilizing quality tools including Optical Comparators, Digital Height Gages, Profilometer, Bore Gages, Thread Gages, Caliper, Micrometer etc. Knowledge of AS9100 system and Kaizen continuous improvement Knowledge of

AS9102 EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING

: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Computer literate

WORKING CONDITIONS

:

• Must work in manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold and noise condition 50%
• Secondary lab environment 50%
• Work well with personnel in Quality and other departments, i.e. Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, etc.
• Maintain a good positive attitude in representation of the Company and its products This position requires the incumbent to experience periods of prolonged sitting and/or to regularly stand, walk, carry, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
