Job Description

Position Summary The Quality Technician works from our Rome, GA location and is a vital member of the quality assurance team. As a pivotal member of our quality assurance team, the Quality Technician is instrumental in upholding our commitment to excellence and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards. This role demands a meticulous eye for detail, a solid understanding of industry standards and ability to work well with others in fast-paced situations. Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to) Follow all job safety practices and policies including but not limited to: food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc. Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on inspection equipment, as needed. Routinely conduct inspection of in-process materials and finished product to meet specifications. use measuring tools (such as: caliper gauges, micrometers). Advise production when inspection results do not meet specifications. Investigate customer complaints related to product quality Perform internal audits, maintain graphic storage area, graphic inventory, and order replacement or new graphics as needed Initiate, create, review, and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) Maintain a safe and clean workspace according to 5S standards. Build and maintain positive relationships across the team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity. Other duties as needed by management and/or business needs. Qualifications 1+ years of experience as a Quality Technician in a manufacturing environment. Experience working with gauges, dial calipers, and/or automated gauges. Minimum one (1) year of experience in a production/manufacturing role. Experience maintaining production or quality control equipment preferred Proficiency with computer applications (such as:
Microsoft:
Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook) Strong attention to detail and experience reviewing and understanding graphs and trends. Must be able to match colors. Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise communication (verbal and written) in a respectful manner to all levels of personnel. Previous auditing experience is valued.
Physical Environment & Working Conditions:
May be subject to all of the following, but not limited to: Hot/Cold working conditions. Loud /Noisy environment. Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and regularly stand, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb. Climbing (stairs, and other equipment as necessary). Ability to work up to twelve (12) hours shift, overtime may also be required. Education and Certification High School Diploma or education equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree added value.
