$18.50 USD per hour
SUMMARY:
Quality Assurance Technician are responsible for achieving a high level of production quality during the assembly by continuously improving the process through inspection and corrective measures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports on-site quality initiatives for all product lines produced. Provides shop floor support to quality assurance team members and production associates with quality issues. Provides quality assurance support to the door module platform. Oversees quality inspectors from external sorting companies. Travels to customer locations in order to address quality issues when necessary. Performs incoming inspection of components and coordinates containment of defective material. Acts as the vendor point-of-contact for component quality issues. Generates rejection notifications to vendors and tracks them to resolution. Participates within a team concerning design issues. Develops, formulates and analyzes data for quality reports. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer skills required:
Ability to utilize computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite Other skills required: At least one year of experience in quality or production manufacturing. Familiarity with dimensional gaging, blue prints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing Excellent math and algebra skills are highly desired
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit or utilize hand and finger dexterity. Continually required to talk or hear. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. The employee must be able to frequently push loaded shipping racks throughout the warehouse area. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work area is heat/air conditioned within an office environment, with 100% of time spent in a shop floor environment.
