Job Description

Quality Assurance Technician (Level A-B) Full-Time | Hourly | Woodbine Why Join Us? At our company, quality and food safety are at the heart of everything we do. As a Quality Assurance Technician , you'll play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards—from production to final inspection. What You'll Do In this role, you'll be hands-on in the production environment, partnering with operations to ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and company standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting pre-operational inspections to ensure readiness Performing and documenting quality checks; reporting any variances Monitoring product and cooler temperatures Verifying labels, weights, and metal detection systems Ensuring sanitation standards and GMP compliance are followed Testing sanitizer and chemical concentrations Auditing departments for quality and food safety compliance Performing basic sensory evaluations of products Supporting customer specification requirements Entering and tracking quality data in spreadsheets Participating in HACCP and Food Safety Plan activities Assisting with FSMA validation studies and special projects What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate will have: Strong attention to detail and observational skills The ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment Solid communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Comfort working independently when needed Ability to read, write, and understand procedures in English Bilingual skills (a plus, but not required) Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of experience in food production or quality assurance Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) Experience with environmental monitoring (preferred) HACCP knowledge or experience (a plus) Physical & Work Environment This role works directly on the production floor and includes: Frequent standing and walking Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.) Exposure to cold, heat, humidity, and food production environments Working around machinery and food-grade chemicals Tasks that may include bending, kneeling, or climbing stairs/ladders Schedule & Expectations Full-time position Overtime may be required based on production needs No travel required A Few More Things This role may include additional duties as business needs evolve.
