Job Summary:
The Wire Harness Quality Assurance Team is responsible for ensuring manufactured finished goods meet customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality requirements. This role supports, in-process audits, final testing, documentation control, and corrective actions to prevent defects and improve production processes. Key Responsibilities 1. Inspection & Testing Conduct in-process audits on cutting, stripping, crimping, labeling, and harness forming. Perform final inspection of completed harness assemblies Execute electrical testing: Continuity Shorts Hi-Pot (dielectric withstand) Resistance verification
Verify:
Wire gauges and colors Strip lengths Crimp height & pull force Terminal insertion depth & lock Label accuracy Harness layout against drawings 2. Crimp Quality Control Measure crimp height using micrometers Perform pull tests using pull tester Validate tooling setup and applicators Follow

requirements 3. Documentation & Compliance Review drawings, BOMs, and work instructions Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) Support PPAP submissions when required Control non-conforming material (NCMR process) Ensure compliance with:

Production Support Train operators on quality standards Approve first piece at start of job Monitor process changes Audit workstation setups Support engineering change implementation • Evaluate QA audit findings and communicate potential areas for improvement to production and Quality Manager Required Skills & Knowledge Understanding of wire harness manufacturing processes Ability to read electrical schematics and assembly drawings Familiarity with crimping standards and pull testing Knowledge of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, pull testers) Root cause problem-solving ability Basic computer skills (i.e.; Excel) Experience in wire harness, cable assembly, or electromechanical manufacturing

Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 year prior experience IPC Whma-620 knowledge / certification preferred . Must be proficient in both Verbal and written communication. Must have the ability to perform effectively and proficiently in a manufacturing environment in conjunction with meeting productivity standards and production deadlines. Must have good manual dexterity. Be able to periodically lift up to 30lbs.
