The Quality Technician will ensure product meets customer specifications by auditing product for conformity
Job Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned and required. Conduct materials and component testing at the stages of manufacturing Prepare, conduct and report on the applicable testing conducted Red tag defective product and work with other departments to reach a consensus on root causes, action plans and corrective action Monitor the utilization and efficiency of quality systems used in the workplace Assist tool room in entering SPC data (Cap Studies) after tooling adjustments for SPC improvements Respond to all initial quality Andon calls Create GP12 inspection paperwork and enter into I Charts Recommend solutions to ensure conformance to quality system requirements Upkeep of records accumulated in production process Perform annual red rabbit verifications, visually inspect red rabbit for damage and accuracy and re-validate Perform floor audits and internal audits Access, input and retrieve information from the computer Assist with sample submission Review, inspect and operate gages and check fixtures on the floor Assist, when needed, in sorting and scrapping parts; pull old labels off containers Help provide training for employees in quality methods Follow and support Magna Body & Chassis Iowa and Magna's operating principles Support efforts to achieve department and plant goals on
