In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform precise dimensional inspections of complex components and assemblies. Your expertise will ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485, while adhering to industry-specific codes such as ASME standards. You will develop and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS or similar software, interpret technical drawings and schematics, and collaborate closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to uphold quality assurance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-precision manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform detailed dimensional inspections of machined parts, tooling, and assemblies. Develop, modify, and troubleshoot CMM programs using PC-DMIS or equivalent software to ensure accurate measurement procedures. Interpret blueprints, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to determine inspection criteria. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators for supplementary measurements. Conduct quality control inspections in accordance with
ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485
standards, and relevant ASME codes & standards. Document inspection results accurately in quality records; prepare detailed reports for review by quality assurance teams. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on tooling adjustments, calibration procedures, and process improvements to enhance measurement accuracy. Maintain calibration schedules for all mechanical measurement tools and ensure compliance with industry standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing measurement data and recommending process enhancements. Experience Proven experience operating CMM equipment using PC-DMIS (preferred) or similar software in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and schematic interpretation for precise inspection tasks. Familiarity with
ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485
quality management systems and adherence to industry-specific standards. Hands-on experience with mechanical measurement tools including micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and precision instruments. Background in machining or manufacturing processes with an understanding of CNC operations is highly desirable. Knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks or Schematics is beneficial for interpreting design specifications. Ability to read and interpret technical documents accurately while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
