Quality Assurance Technician Job Description The Quality Assurance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that food safety and quality standards are consistently met. This position involves working collaboratively with various teams to maintain compliance with quality requirements and support ongoing audits and inspections. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with quality requirements in relation to certifications, customer, state, and federal standards. Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing & Laboratory practices, programs, and policies. Assist with GMP audits to ensure an effective transition from sanitation to production. Conduct line audits per product specifications and perform food safety checks. Assist with swabbing procedures and other duties required to support the site's Environmental Monitoring Program. Provide feedback to managers and supervisors regarding quality-related discrepancies, violations, or other issues that occur and need resolution. Support Quality Management during facility visits, audits, and inspections. Retrieve documentation and records, track down needed individuals, and gather necessary information during the audit process. Engage site employees in Good Manufacturing Practices, programs, and policies to educate and improve compliance. Essential Skills Experience in a GMP environment. Experience in Food Manufacturing. Proficiency with ATP and Allergen swabs. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
