This role is responsible for creating, editing, and running CMM programs to support first article, in-process, and final inspections. The position works closely with machinists, engineers, and QC staff to verify part conformity and ensure accurate measurement of complex machined components. Typical responsibilities include programming and operating CMM equipment, interpreting blueprints and GD&T requirements, performing detailed dimensional inspections, documenting results, and supporting nonconformance investigations. The role also involves maintaining CMM files, organizing inspection data, and assisting with calibration or quality system tasks as needed. Candidates should have prior experience programming CMMs in a machining or manufacturing environment, strong understanding of GD&T, and proficiency with precision measurement tools.
