Position Summary The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring aerospace machined components meet engineering, customer, and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections, conducting dimensional measurements, documenting inspection results, and identifying nonconformances. Working closely with machinists, production leads, and the quality team, the Quality Technician helps maintain MDI-Co's commitment to quality, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement while supporting compliance with AS9100 and customer standards. Key Responsibilities Perform dimensional inspection of CNC machined parts using CMM, height gauges, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and optical comparators Interpret GD&T per

on complex engineering drawings Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 requirements Serve as the primary quality authority on shift — making sound disposition decisions with minimal supervision Communicate nonconformances and quality holds clearly to oncoming shifts and day-shift quality leadership via written shift reports Identify, tag, and disposition nonconforming material; initiate NCRs and participate in root cause/corrective action (RCCA) activities Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment per calibration schedule Document inspection results, generate inspection reports, and maintain quality records in accordance with AS9100D Collaborate with machinists and CNC programmers to resolve recurring discrepancies in real time Support internal audit readiness by maintaining organized, audit-ready inspection records Maintain a clean and organized inspection area Required Qualifications 3+ years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace or precision machining environment Proficiency with CMM operation (Zeiss Calypso or Verisurf) Strong working knowledge of GD&T per

Familiarity with AS9100D quality management systems Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications Experience with FAI documentation per AS9102 Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with limited supervision during off-shift hours Strong written communication skills for shift handoff reporting Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems Preferred Qualifications ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) Experience with
