Job Title:
Quality Control Technician Job Description Join a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining and improving quality standards in food manufacturing. As a Quality Control Technician, you will perform essential inspections and testing to ensure product safety and compliance. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Responsibilities Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment and environments meet quality standards. Perform X-ray testing and metal detector testing for quality assurance. Execute quality checks and maintain quality documentation. Carry out dimension and integrity checks on packaging and boxes. Match codes on labels with ingredients accurately. Perform seal checks and specification checks, including best by dates. Inspect for foreign materials and take necessary actions if any are found. Hold production lines when required to maintain quality standards. Essential Skills Proficiency in quality control and quality assurance processes. Experience with GMP, quality inspection, and audits. Familiarity with X-ray and metal detecting equipment. Minimum of 6 months of experience in food manufacturing quality. Ability to perform inspections and audits effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or relevant quality experience in the food industry. Understanding of HACCP and Critical Control Points is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and high level of integrity. Excellent time management and multitasking abilities. Effective communication and honesty. Accountability and willingness to learn. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Manteno, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
