Job Description

Traveling Quality Inspector - Mechanical Construction 📍 Various U.S. Locations | Full-Time Overview We're hiring a Traveling Quality Inspector to ensure top-quality fabrication and installation on mechanical projects nationwide. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience , strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills for team and partner collaboration. Responsibilities Review project drawings and technical specifications for compliance Develop and manage QA/QC plans and documentation Lead pre-installation meetings and weekly quality reviews Conduct on-site inspections and testing (welds, bolts, pressure tests) Oversee third-party evaluations and enforce corrective actions Maintain inspection records, certifications, and quality reports Coordinate sampling/testing schedules and support project closeout Qualifications 3+ years' experience in mechanical quality inspection (HVAC, piping, plumbing, sheet metal) Weld inspection certification preferred (CWI, VT-Level II, API, etc.) Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical tasks safely Expertise in interpreting drawings, specifications, and test results Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills Willingness to travel to job sites and fabrication shops as needed Schedule & Travel 6-day work week, 10-hour shifts Onsite for project duration Home travel every 3-4 weeks for 2-3 days Benefits Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) Discretionary annual bonus Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company contributions Paid Time Off, company holidays, and parental leave Tuition reimbursement & gym reimbursement Diversity & Inclusion We are an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
