7:00am-7:00pm (Fri-Sun) QPS Employment Group is seeking a Quality Lead for a direct hire opportunity with a manufacturing client in Rockford, IL. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in quality operations, inspections, and team leadership within a production environment. Quality Lead Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Lead and support quality team members during assigned shift.
- Perform and oversee product inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitor production processes to identify and correct quality issues.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Communicate quality concerns with supervisors, production teams, and management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
- Assist with investigations of defects and identify root causes.
- Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train team members on quality procedures and best practices.
Quality Lead Requirements:
- Previous experience in a quality, inspection, or manufacturing role.
- Leadership or team lead experience preferred.
- Familiarity with quality standards and inspection processes and measurement tools and basic quality documentation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
- Experience in fast-paced production environments.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to identify problems and implement solutions.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented.
- Comfortable working 12-hour weekend shifts.
