Purpose:
The Team Leader is responsible for advanced machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, and production support across manufacturing processes including machining, tubing, fabrication, and laser cutting. This position also provides daily leadership and support to assigned team members by promoting safety, quality, productivity, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Team Leader serves as a technical resource and role model while assisting the supervisor in coordinating daily operations and supporting department goals. Pay starting at $21.40 an hour Bonus structure of 7% semi-annually as well as production bonus potential On site childcare at Sullivan location
Position Prerequisite:
Must meet the following requirements: 1. Complies with all Agri-Fab policies, procedures, and safety requirements. 2. Demonstrates a strong commitment to workplace safety and promotes safe work practices among team members. 3. Interacts in a positive, professional, and cooperative manner with coworkers, customers, and management. 4. Participates in required training and maintains compliance with annual safety training requirements. 5. Supports continuous improvement initiatives and actively contributes ideas to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. 6. Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment while ensuring team members follow housekeeping and 6S standards. 7. Demonstrates strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 8. Communicates concerns regarding safety, quality, equipment, inventory, or production issues in a timely manner. 9. Cross-trains and maintains proficiency in departmental operations. 10. Works overtime, weekends, and holidays as required to meet business needs. Reliable attendance. 11. Demonstrates leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide team members. 12. Must have a valid drivers license to obtain a fork truck certification. Essential Functions Required but not limited to: Leadership 1. Leads daily team meetings and communicates safety, quality, production, and continuous improvement objectives. 2. Assists with employee training, cross-training, onboarding, and development. 3. Supports and reinforces standard work practices throughout the department. 4. Delegates work assignments and balances manpower to achieve departmental goals. 5. Monitors employee performance and provides coaching to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity expectations. 6. Maintains regular communication with the Department Supervisor regarding departmental performance, staffing needs, and operational concerns. 7. May serve as acting supervisor during supervisor absences. 8. Schedules work orders and machines to meet the needs of the customer. 9. Communicates with outside departments to achieve goals. Quality Assurance/Document Tracking 1. Monitors departmental quality performance and ensures compliance with work instructions, process sheets, and customer requirements. 2. Completes check sheets, inspection records, traceability documentation, and production paperwork for accuracy and completeness. 3. Tracks and maintains inspection data, quality records, production metrics, and logging them in the QC folder. 4. Identifies quality trends and supports corrective actions and continuous improvement activities. 5. Verifies parts, materials, and finished products using work instructions, blueprints, specifications, and approved quality standards. 6. Ensures proper identification, counts, and documentation of materials moving through the department. Essential Technical Functions 1. Perform machine setups, changeovers, calibrations, and troubleshooting. 2. Install and align tooling, fixtures, and dies. 3. Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections. 4. Load, unload, and position materials manually or with hoists, cranes, or forklifts. 5. Verify dimensions and product quality using precision measuring instruments. 6. Ensure proper material identification and traceability throughout production. 7. Meet or exceed established production and quality standards. 8. Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
Advanced Skills:
CNC/Lathe 1. Set up and calibrate CNC machining centers and lathes. 2. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings. 3. Utilize precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges. 4. Understand basic CNC controls. 5. Troubleshoot machining and setup issues. 6. Perform dimensional verification and quality inspections. Fabrication/Tubing/Laser 1. Set up presses, brake presses, benders, and laser systems. 2. Configure tooling, dies, fixtures, and machine parameters. 3. Operate CNC controls and laser software. 4. Calculate bend allowances, angles, and material requirements. 5. Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments. 6. Troubleshoot fabrication and laser processing issues.

Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook;
MTMS. CNC
programming.
Technical Skills:
Strong mechanical problem-solving abilities; blueprint and drawing interpretation; precision measurement and inspection techniques; basic math and geometric calculations; and knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Stands for long periods; frequently bends, lifts, or carries (up to 50 lbs.) Uses basic hand tools with dexterity. Has both near and distance visual acuity to inspect parts and operate machinery safely. Fork truck certification required.
Organizational skills:
Must be organized in keeping accurate data on check sheets, ability to 6s chemical check station, and have a high skill on cleanliness to ensure that all washer area and burn off stay clean of debris and other manufacturing build up.
