Do you enjoy setting up machines, making clean cuts, and proving your work with precise measurements? Are you ready to collaborate across teams to keep a machine shop running at its best? If so, W. H. Leary wants to meet you. Your mission Help prepare and move material and machined components through our workflow by delivering safe, accurate, and efficient sawing operations.
Can you:
Calibrate and set up sawing machines, choosing and installing the correct blades and attachments for each job? Position, secure, and clearly mark stock so every cut starts right? Operate saws to process different materials while monitoring performance and making adjustments on the fly? Use calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and confirm parts meet spec? Keep equipment in top shape by cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts like blades and belts? Deburr and finish by filing, grinding, or smoothing edges to hit finishing requirements? Track daily output and complete all required paperwork accurately? What it takes Ability to read and interpret diagrams. Ability to measure and mark materials precisely for cutting. Ability to maintain sawing equipment reliably. Exceptional attention to detail. Manual dexterity. Ability to follow instructions.
