Job Description

Job Summary The CMM Programmer/Quality Tech provides CMM programming and machining expertise in support of the Quality Department by performing the following duties: Performs SPC setup and tracking and CMM (SPC) input verification Collect and analyze data; troubleshoot equipment, fixtures, tooling, and programming to ensure products and processes meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations Design CMM fixtures, washers, cell and plant layouts, and process flows Analyze work processes to create proper work instructions that meet quality standards Ensure accurate and ongoing training of employees on expected standards and proper work instructions including SPC and OnRamp Maintain documentation of plant metrics and objectives and update weekly communication boards Implement and execute 5S and Lean procedures into production processes Complete PPAP activities including control plans, dimensions, process flows, and inspection steps Provide operators with proper tool sheets and tool routing setup; maintain part setup in ERP System Assists in process developments for new parts and estimated cycle times using MasterCam Assist with the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment Communicate any issues effecting operation and production to management Responsible to know the Quality policy and relevant objectives as well as importance of QMS and the continuous improvement of the QMS Understand customer specific requirements and follow all procedures for non-conforming product Expected to know and abide by Quality policy and relevant quality objectives as well as understanding the importance of QMS, it's improvements, and principles Understand customer requirements Lead by example in following company policies, procedures, and expected standards of quality, safe working environment, continuous improvement, and supporting the organization's mission, vision, and values Proactively review processes and standards and assist in creating and executing countermeasures May perform other duties as assigned Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing or Process Engineering; or equal experience Previous experience with programming; CMM, CAD, MasterCam, and SolidWorks Strong knowledge base of quality theories related to designated quality functions Physical ability to perform essential functions of job with or without reasonable accommodations Qualificiations -
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Three to five years of previous experience directly related to duties/responsibilities specified Previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred Must be proactive in detecting issues and seeking solutions to production and equipment issues effectively and efficiently Advanced analytical, technical, and statistical skills Works well under limited supervision Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task Must be able to understand, maintain, and follow quality and safety standards, procedures, and policies Ability to lead, train, and mentor others Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with management, colleagues, vendors, suppliers, and customers Understanding of how quality interrelates with other functions within organization Ability to apply common sense and reasoning needed to carry out instructions provided verbally or in writing, formally or informally
Physical/Environmental Conditions :
May be exposed to unusual elements and conditions including extreme temperatures, oil, dust, dirt, metal shavings, loud noises, confined spaces, chemicals, trip and fall hazards, moving parts and equipment, airborne particles and allergens, potential risk of electric shock and vibration, exposure to overhead equipment and cranes Position requires long periods of standing, sitting, and/or walking Position may require heavy lifting from minimum of 50lbs. without assistance or up to 100+ lbs. with equipment assistance May require bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, crouching Consistent use of computer and other electrical equipment that could cause eye strain
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
