Job Description

Night Shift Quality Inspector Company Overview Med-Mizer is a leading manufacturer of hospital beds, specialty seating, and safe patient-handling solutions. We are seeking a hands-on, detail-driven Quality Inspector to help drive quality standards on the production floor and ensure our products consistently meet internal and customer expectations. Position:
Quality Inspector Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 7:00 PM to 5:30
AM Key Responsibilities:
Perform in-process and final inspections throughout the production floor. Record and maintain accurate quality data and inspection results. Identify, communicate, and help address quality issues in real-time with production teams. Monitor and report quality trends; escalate concerns as needed. Conduct internal audits of processes, materials, and finished goods. Support and maintain quality systems, procedures, and documentation. Collaborate with production, engineering, and leadership teams to improve product quality and consistency. Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement on the production floor. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (medical device experience preferred). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and weld callouts. Proficient in using various measurement tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges, etc.). Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and time management skills. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours per shift). Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) plus a shift differential. Additional attendance bonus (inquire for details). Quarterly performance bonus eligibility. Two weeks paid vacation, accrued at 10 hours every 30 days (additional week earned after 2 years of service).
