Job Description
The Quality Technician supports the Quality Management System by performing inspections, tests, and documentation activities to ensure products meet specified requirements. This role works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify issues, support corrective actions, and maintain compliance with customer, regulatory, and ISO requirements. Key Responsibilities Inspecting and Testing Perform and/or assist with incoming, in-process, and final inspections per drawings, control plans, and inspection instructions Inspect materials and finished products using calipers, gauges, and other measurement tools Verify dimensional, visual, and functional requirements Ensure Inspection results meet specifications before product release Documentation & Records Record inspection and test results accurately Complete inspection reports, first article inspections (FAI), and quality records Maintain traceability and proper document control Support PPAP, APQP, and customer documentation as required Nonconformance & Corrective Action Identify and document nonconforming material Initiate and track Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) Communicate quality issues to Quality, Manufacturing, and Supervisors Process Support Verify adherence to work instructions, control plans, and quality procedures Support process audits and layered process audits Compliance & Continuous Improvement Support compliance with
ISO 9001
Participate in internal and external audits Promote continuous improvement and quality awareness on the shop floor Follow safety, housekeeping, and company policiesRequired Education:
High School Diploma or GED Required Experience:
1-2 years of experience in a quality technician role or a related position within the manufacturing industry Experience with quality control processes and procedures in a manufacturing settingRequired Skills and Abilities:
Detail oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision in all tasks Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions Proficient in documentation and record-keeping, ensuring all quality records are maintained accurately Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards Familiarity with quality inspection tools and equipment is preferredSimilar remote jobs
