Job Description

Job Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting quality assurance processes within a marine furniture manufacturing facility. This role ensures that products meet company standards, customer specifications, and industry regulations. The Quality Technician performs inspections, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement activities to maintain high-quality standards in materials, components, and finished goods.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Testing Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of raw materials, components, and finished marine furniture goods Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, gauges, and templates Verify upholstery quality, fit and finish, structural integrity, hardware installation, and cosmetic appearance Identify and document defects or nonconformities Documentation and Reporting Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records Assist in maintaining quality documentation, including work instructions, inspection checklists, and control plans Support corrective and preventative action processes Track quality trends and report recurring issues to supervisors Process Support Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns in real time Assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions Support audits (internal, customer, or regulatory) as needed Continuous Improvement Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve product reliability Provide feedback on product design or process changes that impact quality Promote a culture of quality and accountability throughout the facility
Qualifications & Skills:
1-3 years of experience in quality control or manufacturing, preferably in furniture, marine and other related industries Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and basic quality tools Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic understanding of continuous improvement principles preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office or basic data entry systems Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials and components Learn more about Patrick Industries, INC. www.patrickind.com As a division of Patrick Industries, we offer a great benefit package including: Health care with company funding of the Health Savings Account option, company matching 401K, comprehensive Dental and Vision plans, paid vacations and holidays, and fitness reimbursement
