Client is seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician III to play a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality. What You'll Do:
Release products for shipping by verifying documentation and certifications per customer requirements Apply and understand GD&T principles to ensure dimensional accuracy Proficiently perform dimensional verification of PPAP and first article parts Support the production floor by developing and interpreting manufacturing documentation and teaching proper measurement techniques Conduct technical inspections of raw materials and manufactured parts upon receipt Collect, analyze, and present quality metrics to drive improvements Program and operate FARO & Micro-Vu measurement equipment with proficiency Participate in department meetings, audits, and continuous improvement projects Develop calibration procedures and calibrate measurement tools in accordance with ISO standards Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions in response to customer feedback and internal issues Train and mentor new quality inspectors, fostering a culture of quality excellence Support management initiatives and contribute to the ongoing development of the QA department
Required Skills:
Over 5 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a metal fabrication environment within a continuous improvement QMS Strong knowledge of GD&T concepts and dimensional verification techniques Proficiency in programming and operating FARO & Micro-Vu measurement systems Ability to interpret manufacturing and quality documentation Excellent data collection, analysis, and presentation skills Effective communication skills for training and collaboration Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure Familiarity with ISO standards and calibration procedures Nice to
Have Skills:
Certification as a Quality Technician Experience with programming measurement equipment Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) Experience in conducting quality walk audits and implementing process improvements Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internet tools
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate degree in a related field is preferred 5+ years of hands-on inspection experience in metal fabrication or similar industries Demonstrated success in continuous improvement initiatives and quality management systems
Other Requirements:
