Outbound Supervisor Position Summary:
The Quality Control Clerk is responsible for ensuring all outgoing shipments meet established quality, accuracy, and compliance standards before leaving the facility. This role serves as the final quality checkpoint, verifying order accuracy, product condition, packaging integrity, and documentation to minimize shipping errors, customer claims, and product damage. See below job responsibilities and requirements.Job Responsibilities:
Perform quality checks on all outbound packages and orders prior to shipment. Verify SKUs, product numbers, quantities, lot/serial numbers, and customer specifications against pick tickets, packing lists, and system records. Inspect products for damage, defects, contamination, or expiration dates. Confirm proper labeling, barcodes, packaging, pallet building, and load stability. Ensure all customer-specific, carrier-specific, and regulatory requirements (including hazardous materials) are met. Use SAP / Blue Yonder (via standing station computer) for data entry and to update the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Complete quality control checklists, inspection forms, and discrepancy reports. Identify and report issues; coordinate corrections with picking, packing, and shipping teams. Assist with re-packing, re-labeling, or rework of orders as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S and OSHA standards. Support peak operations, special projects, and training of new employees when required. Communicate quality issues and improvement opportunities to supervisors and team members.Requirements & Qualifications:
2-3yrs of experience within Quality Control, specifically within Warehouse Logistics industry 2-3yrs of experience working within a WMS Software system, preferably SAP of Blue Yonder Must be proficient within data-entry and other computer related administrative tasks Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and work instructions Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Prior warehouse, shipping, or quality control experience Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably SAP or Blue Yonder Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation Comfort working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels Ability to safely work around conveyor systems and material handling equipment (pallet jacks)NOTE:
