Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Specialist/Coordinator to support and maintain our quality systems within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, including SQF and GMP requirements. The ideal candidate is bilingual, highly organized, and experienced in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and support the Quality Management System (QMS) Ensure compliance with SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards and certification requirements Enforce and monitor adherence to GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) Conduct internal audits, inspections, and quality checks Assist with external audits and regulatory inspections Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) Develop and maintain quality documentation, SOPs, and records Collaborate with production and operations teams to improve processes Provide training to employees on food safety and quality standards Track and report key quality metrics and trends
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or food production environment Strong knowledge of SQF, GMPs, and quality systems Experience with audits and compliance processes Bilingual (English/Spanish required) Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related software #INDNA This job description represents a summary of the job, not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible job responsibilities, tasks, and duties.
