This role operates in a high-pace environment and requires sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to make quick, confident decisions on the production floor. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes ownership, works proactively, and consistently goes above and beyond to protect product integrity and support the team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform first article inspections, hourly in-process checks, and final product inspections to verify compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Inspect incoming materials and components to ensure they meet required specifications before entering production.
  • Monitor production lines for deviations and immediately report or escalate quality or food safety issues to the QC Supervisor.
  • Reject or quarantine non-conforming products, materials, or equipment and follow proper hold and disposition procedures.
  • Create and verify date codes and case labels using labeling systems.
  • Conduct weekly line audits and trailer inspections to detect and document deviations.
  • Ensure all employees on the line are following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), hygiene standards, and food safety procedures.
  • Complete and maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation in a timely manner.
  • Communicate inspection results and quality findings clearly to line leaders, supervisors, and the QC team.
  • Support internal and external audits (AIB, customer audits) by maintaining up-to-date documentation and responding to auditor questions.
  • Assist the QC Supervisor with additional quality-related tasks as needed.
  • Train and guide line operators on quality requirements and product specifications when needed. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience in quality control & food safety preferred.
  • Familiarity with GMP, food safety, and basic quality inspection practices.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and quality procedures.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required. Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to remain active on the production floor for the duration of the shift.
Schedule & Compensation Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, On-Site Role (may include weekends or overtime during peak production periods). Pay commensurate with experience. Includes a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, 401k, PTO, and more.

$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
