Job Description

About the Job Ecorobotix Inc. creates innovative robotic solutions that reduce the negative ecological impact of modern agriculture. We have developed an AI-based ultra-high precision spot spraying technology that drastically reduces the amount of chemicals used in crop fields while keeping costs competitive. The technology is currently deployed on our tractor-towed ARA machine. By joining our talented and dynamic team, you will contribute to a more sustainable, environment-friendly agriculture in an innovative scale-up at the cutting edge of technology. We are a revolutionary organization with a great work environment that supports creativity through self-motivation. General Objective of the Role We're looking for a sharp, motivated Quality Technician to join our growing team in Lyons, Kansas — someone who brings a keen eye for detail, a structured mindset, and a genuine desire to learn and grow within a quality function. You don't need to have seen it all before; what matters is that you're rigorous, curious, and committed to doing things right. In this role, you will play a hands-on part in monitoring the quality of our machines from incoming components through to finished product, helping us build and improve the processes that keep our manufacturing operation running at a high standard. Reporting Lines & Interactions Reports to the Quality Manager. Works closely with production, engineering, supply chain, and industrialization teams internally. Serves as the on-site Ecorobotix quality presence at our assembly partner facility in Lyons, Kansas, with regular coordination with that team. Occasional travel to Switzerland may be expected. Key Responsibilities Incoming & Final Quality Control Perform incoming inspections of parts and components — checking dimensions, conformity to drawings, and documentation completeness Conduct final inspections of machines prior to shipment and formally release units that meet quality standards Record inspection results accurately and determine product conformity based on established criteria Production & Assembly Support Monitor the assembly process to ensure work is being carried out in line with quality standards and procedures Support production teams on-site in identifying and resolving quality deviations as they arise Analyze deviations against technical and documentation requirements and flag patterns or recurring issues Provide quality oversight of subassembly and full machine QC checks carried out by the production team Non-Conformity Management Manage internal, supplier, and customer non-conformities from identification through to resolution Lead or participate in root cause analyses using structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) Track corrective and preventive actions to ensure they are implemented effectively and on time Serve as the primary Ecorobotix point of contact at the production site for quality-related issues Reporting & Continuous Improvement Track and report on key quality indicators — non-conformity rates, scrap, response times, and trends Prepare regular quality reports for management with clear findings and recommended actions Actively participate in defining, documenting, and improving internal quality procedures Bring a continuous improvement mindset to everything you do — identify what's not working and propose better ways Qualifications & Skills Associate's or bachelor's degree in Quality, Industrial Production, Engineering Technology, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or technical environment; direct quality experience is a plus but not required if you can demonstrate strong attention to detail and structured thinking Comfortable reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and basic electrical schematics — or eager to learn Familiarity with quality problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, FMEA) is a plus; we'll invest in training the right person Strong Excel and data recording skills — you're organized and accurate with information A self-starter who takes ownership, follows through, and communicates clearly with teammates and partners Comfortable working on-site in an active manufacturing environment with a high degree of daily independence Familiarity with an ERP system (Odoo or similar) is a plus
