Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet or exceed industry standards and customer specifications. This role involves inspecting, testing, and monitoring the quality of materials, components, and products throughout the production process.Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished parts to ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations. Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and quality. Document and maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and non-conformance issues. Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns, providing guidance and support to improve processes and product quality. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control procedures. Perform routine calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment. Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conforming products. Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate product production. Conduct final inspections of products before shipping to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer requirements. Report quality issues to management and work to resolve problems in a timely manner.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a related field or certifications in quality assurance are a plus. Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Technician or in a similar role within the metal fabrication industry is preferred. Weld inspection experience preferred Strong understanding of quality control processes. Proficient in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.). Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, AWS). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative when needed. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.Similar remote jobs
