Job Description
Scoular is seeking a motivated Scale Operator to join our team and contribute to our mission of creating safe and reliable supply chain solutions for our customers. This is a seasonal position lasting through our upcoming harvest cycle. We are a team-oriented workplace that motivates hard-working individuals that can adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
Primary duties include:
Receive, weigh and test grain delivered to the facility while providing superior customer service to the Producers/Drivers. Weigh all trucks coming into and leaving the facility and directing trucks to the proper location for loading and unloading. Communicate with the production crew to ensure timely unloading of trucks. Probe all inbound trucks to collect commodity sample and enter all customer and commodity information into tracking system. Housekeeping duties to keep area within the office area and scale room clean and presentable. Greet customers and visitors (both in person and via telephone) in a professional and courteous manner and direct them to the appropriate individual if necessary. Other duties as needed to support operations. On-the-job training provided.Requirements:
Strong customer service skills. Attention to detail. Dependable attendance. Flexibility to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat (90-120F), cold (subzero), and high winds (40+ mph). Conditions can include occasional outdoor exposure: hot summer temperatures (90 - 120 degrees) and windy conditions. Must be able to remain standing on hard surfaces for long periods of time. Must be able to work in an environment with high levels of grain dust. Must be able to bend and reach in normal range of movement.Similar jobs in Tribune, KS
