Job Description

Job Title:
Quality Technician Job Description The Quality Technician plays a crucial role in the Quality Department, ensuring that products meet or exceed safe food handling and quality standards. The role involves taking necessary corrective actions in the event of any issues, as well as collaborating with Operations and other stakeholders to maintain and adhere to quality parameters. The position requires monitoring controls to ensure they function as designed and escalating issues promptly. Responsibilities Assist in problem-solving events to determine root causes and establish preventive measures. Demonstrate knowledge and application of 100% of laboratory procedures; be cross-functionally trained and capable of covering all Quality Control and Assurance checks or expectations. Act as a Trainer for all QA Lab, Line, and department policies and procedures. Perform sensory evaluations on samples and document results as necessary. Ensure effective collection and shipment of customer samples with appropriate documentation. Work independently at the batch station and escalate issues when necessary. Effectively batch and make necessary adjustments using experience and tools provided at the frontline station for all lines/product SKUs independently. Essential Skills Experience in inspection, quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection. Proficiency in using gages. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Adherence to all internal policies, including GMP practices, attendance policy, and completion of methodology described in the Technical Services Manual. Proven track record of exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow directions and work independently with limited supervision. Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and legible documentation. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
