Job Description

Description About Us:
The Caturus platform was founded by Kimmeridge, an alternative asset manager focused on the energy sector, with subsequent additional investment by Mubadala Energy. Caturus is building an independent, fully integrated natural gas and LNG export platform in the U.S. through a combination of its upstream operations and Commonwealth LNG, a 9.5 Mtpa LNG export terminal in southwestern Louisiana. Together, they will provide low-cost energy on demand with the lowest carbon footprint.
Job Description Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Coordinator, Lead Quality, this position is responsible for identifying, addressing, and reporting defects in the manufacturing/construction process that may cause poor product quality and performing the required inspections, examinations, and or measurements to ensure the highest degree of product quality in daily work operation.
Key Accountabilities:
Perform incoming inspection for major components and other received material defined in ITP or relevant receiving inspection plans and record/document verification. Review Inspection and Test Plan in accordance with project specifications and/or Compass standards. Perform inspection as defined in the relevant Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and following Compass' Quality Management system requirements. Perform inspection on civil and structural works related site preparation, surge wall, piling, marine and civil scopes. Perform pre-pour, during pour and post pour inspection and quality check for foundations Support foundation acceptance prior to mechanical setting and structural readiness for hydrotest loads (tanks, piping). Participate in all required audits. Ensure compliance with drawings, technical specifications, standards, and customer pre-defined quality expectations. Report and address quality issues related to non-conforming material or components and obtain timely disposition to maintain production flow. Verify accurately completion of inspection forms, checklists, and test records.
Maintain:
Inspection records and checklists and Photo documentation. Submit inspection reports to the Lead Quality Coordinator for review and storage. Verify that approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs) and construction methods are used. Ensure only Contractor and Subcontractors qualified personnel (e.g., welders, inspectors) perform critical activities. Identify and report any deviations from specifications, drawings, or standards. Follow up to ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified. Communicate inspection results and highlight any issues promptly. Monitor that Contractor check deliveries for damage, correct documentation (MTCs, COCs), and proper storage and handling. Verify that tools, gauges, and testing equipment used during inspections are calibrated and traceable. Verify that testing instruments (e.g., pressure gauges, voltmeters, torque wrenches) are suitable for the task. Participate in punch listing and walkdowns to identify outstanding quality issues. Confirm that systems and sub-systems are completed in accordance with quality requirements before turnover. Ensure that quality inspections and work activities do not compromise HSE standards. Stop work and report if safety or quality risks are identified. Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings where applicable.
Qualifications:
Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
10+ years of experience in a relevant or similar role for Civil, Piling and Marine Works Oil & Gas and Gulf Coast experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
