URPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Piping Quality Control Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring materials and workmanship meet specifications and code requirements. This position is responsible for maintaining quality standards by inspecting and testing mechanical systems, identifying non-conformities, and recommending corrective actions. The role supports Worley's ambition to be recognized globally as a leader in sustainability solutions by ensuring compliance with regulatory codes and standards, helping to deliver safe and efficient projects across the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct inspections of mechanical systems, materials, and workmanship to verify compliance with specifications, industry codes, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure adherence to project quality standards. Identify and document non-conformities, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken in alignment with project and company guidelines. Participate in quality audits and assessments, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Provide guidance on quality assurance practices, assisting teams in understanding and applying relevant quality procedures. Support project execution by offering technical expertise in mechanical quality control, helping to resolve issues and optimize performance. Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, tests, and compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders. Adhere to Worley's sustainability commitments by promoting responsible quality control practices that enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Technical school graduate or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience in mechanical quality control. Strong knowledge of industry standards, specifications, and regulatory codes related to mechanical systems in energy, chemicals, and resources sectors. Experience performing inspections, evaluating compliance, and implementing corrective actions in a complex project environment. Ability to exercise judgment in selecting and organizing work methods, with an aptitude for developing process improvements. Proficiency in using quality control systems, tools, and documentation methods to meet project requirements. Excellent communication skills, capable of informing and persuading stakeholders through reports, presentations, and collaboration. Commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous learning in alignment with Worley's core values and business objectives.
