Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and metrology to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. This role requires collaboration across departments, problem-solving, and mentoring of junior inspectors and technicians. Key Responsibilities Perform inspections using knowledge of GD&T and metrology principles to verify product compliance. Troubleshoot and resolve questions from Operators, Inspectors, and Engineers. Train and mentor other inspectors and technicians. Participate in special projects related to tooling, fixtures, and gauges. Identify and support cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles. Create and execute CMM programs from part drawings or models. Develop and maintain inspection instructions for tools and systems. Support all departments by performing part inspections and First Article Inspections (FAIs). Qualifications & Competencies Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T. Strong experience with mechanical inspection and manual/visual inspection tools, including: Calipers, gauges, micrometers, digital indicators Surface plates, optical comparators, microscopes Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), profilometers, hardness/durometer testers Strong verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented and accurate in data entry. Collaborative team player with the ability to foster positive relationships across functions. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to read and understand travelers and work instructions. Demonstrates problem-solving skills with an organized, analytical approach. Adaptable to a fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple priorities. Strong desire to learn and apply new skills. Work Environment Manufacturing environment with routine use of shop floor tools and machinery. Physical Requirements Manual dexterity for precision work with machinery. Corrected visual acuity to read prints and inspect parts. Frequently sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs; ability to squat or kneel. Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical inspection of precision parts in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of metrology programs and GD&T interpretation. Experience with inspection equipment and tools, including CMM and Vision Systems. #WIL Pay:
