The chosen candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect and measure manufactured parts, ensuring they meet quality and specification requirements. This position also involves writing and editing CMM programs using industry-standard software. Key Responsibilities Operate CMM to inspect parts per specifications and quality standards. Write and edit CMM programs using software such as PC-DMIS or Calypso. Perform regular maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipment. Interpret blueprints and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. Correlate CMM data with manual inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators). Document and report inspection results; escalate discrepancies to quality or engineering personnel. Collaborate with machine operators, programmers, and quality team members. Train other CMM operators as needed. Operate in compliance with
AS9100/ISO9001
standards, including documentation, revision control, traceability, and lot control. Troubleshoot and resolve inspection issues. Follow 6S procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Technical school preferred) Experience in CMM operation and use of PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar software Proficient in reading blueprints and using standard inspection tools Mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Effective verbal and written communication Must pass an annual vision exam conducted by a licensed optometrist Ability to work independently and as part of a team Time management and multitasking skills Working Conditions Standard production environment with potential exposure to: High noise levels Fumes, dust, mist Oil, cutting fluid, and sharp metal parts Moving equipment and forklift traffic Physical Requirements Ability to read technical documents (with or without corrective lenses) Must be able to: Lift up to 30 lbs Push, pull, reach overhead Stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, and/or sit for extended periods If you are passionate about quality assurance and have the skills necessary to excel as a CMM Operator/Programmer, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
