Manufacturing Our client is seeking a skilled CMM Operator/Quality Technician for a Direct Placement opportunity with a leading manufacturing firm. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in quality inspection, with expertise in CMM operation and First Article Inspection (FAI).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform CMM operation to inspect precision components. Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections following engineering specifications and customer requirements. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and height gauges. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure product conformity. Document and maintain inspection reports, certifications, and compliance records. Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve quality-related issues. Ensure compliance with
AS9100, ISO
9001, and other quality standards. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to address non-conformances. Collaborate with customers and suppliers regarding quality standards and FAI documentation. Perform additional quality assurance tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
4-6 years of relevant FAI and CMM experience in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment. Experience with CMM programming (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent) is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Proficiency in using measuring instruments and inspection equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications preferred. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
