Precision Mechanical Quality Inspector Personnel People - 4.0 Woburn, MA Job Details Full-time $30 - $32 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Measurement-based inspection Manufacturing facility Dimensional measurements Precision measurement in machining Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description About the Role Join our manufacturing team in Woburn, MA as a full-time Precision Mechanical Quality Inspector. You'll be the final checkpoint ensuring that every precision component leaving our facility meets exacting company and customer specifications. A typical day may start at your bench verifying gage calibration, setting up the optical comparator for a first article, and moving through detailed dimensional checks using micrometers and vernier calipers. Throughout the shift, you'll document results, flag nonconformances, and collaborate with the team to drive corrective and preventive actions. What You'll Do Perform detailed mechanical inspections using micrometers, vernier calipers, optical comparators, and other precision measuring equipment. Execute and document First Article Inspections (FAI). Accurately complete and maintain inspection paperwork and quality records. Review Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate corrective and preventive actions as needed. Verify parts and materials against engineering drawings and specifications. Identify, document, and communicate quality issues or discrepancies. Keep the inspection area clean, organized, and audit-ready. What You'll Bring Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment (required). Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints. Hands-on proficiency with micrometers, vernier calipers, optical comparators, and related precision inspection tools. Exceptional attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
Schedule & Pay Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30
PM Compensation:
Up to $32.00/hour based on experience
