Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking an Automotive Quality Inspector for a contract to hire opportunity with our client in Auburn Hills, Michigan . Overview The Automotive Quality Inspector inspects incoming and outgoing vehicles, stages finished vehicles, and supports quality assurance processes to ensure vehicle standards are met. The role involves detailed inspection tasks and collaboration with OEM teams to maintain quality standards. Responsibilities Inspect incoming vehicles under LED light tunnels to identify defects Mark vehicles with white crayon to note areas of defect Follow standard operating procedures per OEM direction during inspections Adhere to quality inspection standards based on program quality standards Track, analyze, and chart claims for paint items Drive, detail, and stage vehicles during low volume periods Support quality maturation data collection after production launch Communicate data to the Quality Manager in line with management standards Interact with OEM Supplier Quality teams ensuring professional communication Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 1-3 years of exposure to paint, inspection, or quality standards in automotive industry Valid driver's license and ability to operate manual transmission Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and follow up on tasks effectively High level of organization and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and other applications Lifting requirements: 10 - 75 lbs.
