Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Operator to join our aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise dimensional inspections of complex aerospace components using advanced CMM equipment and ensuring that all parts meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in quality control, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential to uphold our commitment to excellence in aerospace environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production of high-precision parts that meet rigorous industry standards such as
AS9100, ISO
9001, and ASME codes. Responsibilities Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), including Calypso, Polyworks, and ProShop software, to perform detailed dimensional inspections of aerospace components Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately program and measure parts according to specifications Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators for supplementary measurements Conduct quality inspections in accordance with industry standards like AS9100, ITAR, and
ISO 9001
2015, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to verify part features and tolerances Collaborate with manufacturing and machining teams to resolve dimensional discrepancies and improve process accuracy Assist in the maintenance of detailed inspection records, calibration logs, and quality documentation for traceability and audit purposes Follow safety protocols specific to aerospace environments and ensure proper handling of tooling and measurement devices Desired Experience Proven experience operating CMM equipment and software within a manufacturing setting, preferably in aerospace or high-precision industries Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and technical drawings Knowledge of
AS9100, ISO 9001
2015 quality management systems, and ASME codes & standards Familiarity with manufacturing processes including machining, CNC operations, tooling setup, and mechanical inspection techniques Ability to interpret CAD files created in SolidWorks or other CAD software for measurement planning Mechanical aptitude with experience using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines Excellent math skills for calculating measurements and tolerances accurately Prior experience working in an aerospace environment is preferred but not mandatory Join us in delivering exceptional quality through meticulous inspection practices! Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
