You're not those people. You've spent at least a year in the shop. You know what a bad CV joint sounds like, what fresh sealant on a leaky pan looks like, and exactly how long a test drive needs to be to know something's wrong. Now you want to use that knowledge

• systematically, thoroughly, every single car
• without the time pressure of a flat-rate bay.

What you'll do Test drive every vehicle: listening and feeling for engine, transmission, brake, and suspension issues Perform a thorough cosmetic and mechanical inspection (under hood, all buttons and systems, suspension components, brakes) Record findings in Carketa software on a tablet: clean, consistent documentation every time (we'll train you, it's intuitive) Communicate findings clearly to service writers: this is your main working relationship day-to-day Owning inspections: your inspection is the quality standard. What you find or miss is what everyone else works from. Who we're looking for 1+ years of shop experience

• you need to know what you're looking at Michigan mechanic license or ASE
• you need to be certified to work in our shop Someone who takes real satisfaction in a thorough, well-documented inspection on various vehicles from new Corvette to 10 year old F150.

• especially with non-mechanical people Comfortable using a tablet
