TIPS Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Overview:

Cabin North is a Detroit taproom brewery planting roots in one of the city's most exciting and rapidly evolving corridors - steps from the new Henry Ford Hospital, the historic Motown Museum and fabulous restaurants & nightlife. We're building something special - a neighborhood gathering space, a destination for craft beer seekers across Metros Detroit, and a brewery with a point of view. If you want to grow with a community-focused brewery from the ground up and leave your mark on Detroit's craft beer scene, we'd love to meet you! We are seeking attentive, hospitality-minded beertenders that are always looking to improve upon their professional skills. You will be responsible for delivering outstanding guest experiences and providing a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for guests to enjoy Cabin North beverages. This is a part-time, tipped position with a daily tip pool and we ensure everyone earns at least the equivalent of $13.73+/hour regardless of shift.

Key responsibilities:

Greet every guest warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere Be knowledgeable of our offerings and guide guests through our menu, providing thoughtful recommendations Handle difficult guest situations professionally and with poise Build repeat guest relationships Properly pour and present our beverages Maintain a clean and safe facility Manage point of sale and additional operational needs Complete opening & closing procedures Give life to the CN brand by creating the best environment for the community to enjoy good company with an excellent beverage

Requirements:

Relevant experience in a fast-paced bar or restaurant environment Impeccable communication and customer service skills TIPS and Foodhandlers certifications Able to push, pull, bend, and lift up to 50lbs You are self-motivated and able to work autonomously, with a focused and hardworking attitude Ability to multitask with a sense of urgency You are not afraid to speak your mind and share ideas Critical thinking Availability to work nights and weekends as needed A passion and working knowledge of craft beer Certified Beer Server certification is preferable Key Perks at the Cabin for
