Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking experienced, dependable Lead Inspectors to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who take ownership of their work, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and can operate independently in a fast-paced environment. The hours are 1st shift, Monday - Friday with weekends as needed. This position requires flexibility to support multiple locations and shifts as needed. Current priority coverage areas include Auburn Hills, Warren, Troy, and St. Clair Shores, with opportunities to work at additional sites throughout the Detroit area. Key Responsibilities Perform visual inspections of raw materials and finished products Use measurement tools such as gauges, scales, and tape measures to verify specifications Audit production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials Complete inspection reports accurately and in a timely manner Enter inspection data into company systems and databases Conduct final inspections and verify outgoing shipments Assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and communicate findings Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and company procedures
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Basic math and reading skills Ability to learn and use measurement tools (tape measure, gauges, scales) Basic computer skills (data entry, system navigation) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Reliable, punctual, and professional
Preferred:
Previous quality inspection or quality assurance experience Experience using precision measurement instruments Manufacturing or production environment experience Work Environment & Expectations Must be flexible to work different shifts and travel between nearby sites as needed Fast-paced manufacturing and production environments Standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift IND2
