• Pay Rate:

• _The pay rate for this job is $18 $18 / hour
• _ •What you'll be doing as a•Quality Inspector•:•+ Inspect inbound and outbound scrap metal loads for quality, contamination, and grade accuracy + Identify and separate ferrous vs.

non-ferrous materials as needed + Ensure materials meet customer specifications and company standards + Monitor for prohibited or hazardous materials (e.g., sealed containers, flammable items, radioactive materials) + Document inspection results, discrepancies, and rejected loads + Communicate with scale operators, yard staff, and management regarding load status + Assist with directing traffic and material flow within the yard + Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area + Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations

• Job requirements:
• + Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady + Previous experience in scrap metal, recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments preferred + Basic knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals is a plus + Strong attention to detail and ability to make quick, accurate decisions + Ability to work in outdoor environments in all weather conditions + Good communication and teamwork skills + Reliable attendance and punctuality + Ability to stand, walk, and work on uneven surfaces for extended periods + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed + Comfortable working in loud, dusty, and high-traffic industrial environments + Work Environment + Outdoor scrap yard or recycling facility + Exposure to heavy equipment, moving vehicles, and industrial noise + Must wear required PPE at all times (hard hat, high-visibility vest, steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses + Background check and Drug test required •Ready to take control of the way you work?
