Job Description

Precision Fastener Inspection & Sorting Technician Picture your morning: you power up your workstation, review the day's production targets, and begin inspecting fasteners with a practiced eye. Using gauges and calipers, you verify critical dimensions, set aside any parts that don't meet spec, and keep accurate counts so the production line stays on schedule. By mid-day, you're labeling and packaging approved product, noting inspection data in the system, and collaborating with your team to quickly address any quality concerns. Your efforts make sure only first-rate fasteners reach our customers.

1st (7 AM - 3 PM)
Pay Range:
$18-20 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
Position Type:
Full-Time/Hourly (Non-Exempt) What You'll Do Manually inspect and sort fastener components to meet customer and internal specifications. Detect, segregate, and document non-conforming or defective pieces. Use basic measuring devices (gauges, calipers, and related tools) to verify key dimensions. Adhere to standardized work, quality procedures, and all safety protocols. Package, label, and prepare conforming product per requirements. Accurately enter inspection and production data. Communicate quality concerns and support corrective actions with the team. Keep your work area clean, organized, and audit-ready. Core Strengths Exceptional attention to detail and a strong quality mindset. Consistency and stamina for precise, repetitive tasks. Ability to recognize issues and perform basic troubleshooting. Clear, respectful communication with teammates and supervisors. Comfort working independently with minimal oversight. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions. Basic computer skills for data entry. Proven accuracy performing repetitive tasks. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Preferred Background Experience in manufacturing, sorting, or product inspection. Hands-on use of calipers, gauges, or similar measuring tools. Familiarity with automotive or fastener manufacturing environments. Knowledge of quality standards and inspection practices. Physical Demands Standing for extended periods. Ability to lift, bend, and perform repeated motions throughout the shift. Manual dexterity for handling small parts. Comfort working in a manufacturing environment.
