  • Full-time Aerospace Dimensional Quality Specialist A day in this role You clock in at 6:00 a.
m. and head straight to the inspection area. Calipers, micrometers, and gauges are calibrated and ready.
First up:
raw steel stock verification. As parts move from machining to fabrication, you perform in‑process checks against engineering drawings and tolerances, catching issues before they become rework. By mid‑day, you're documenting nonconformities and partnering with production and engineering to align on corrective actions. Before the shift ends, you finalize records for audits and confirm that outgoing parts meet aerospace standards for safety and performance. What you'll do Examine steel tools, components, and materials to confirm they meet specifications. Run precise dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related metrology tools. Detect, record, and communicate defects; recommend practical corrective actions. Verify conformance to industry standards and internal quality procedures. Maintain thorough inspection documentation to support audits and traceability. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to resolve issues and refine processes. Champion continuous improvement to boost product quality and throughput. Physical demands Stand for extended periods. Lift heavy items routinely; ability to lift 50 lbs. Perform repetitive tasks with limited breaks. What you bring Background in quality inspection within steel, tooling, or engineering environments (preferred). Proficiency with measurement tools and reading blueprints/technical drawings. Strong problem-solving and clear communication skills. Familiarity with ISO and related industry regulations (preferred).
