Job Description
Production and inspection operators are required but not limited to the following duties: following all safety, environmental, quality, and production policies and procedures; running remote control cranes; receiving and shipping coils; identify coils and loading equipment; perform quality inspections; record production and fill out paperwork; banding coils; maintain a clean work area (including emptying trash, emptying scrap containers, sweeping, mopping, shoveling and picking up); operating forklift; cleaning equipment; trouble shooting equipment; helping with equipment repairs; and all other duties as assigned. Must be able to navigate the work environment safely, highly motivated, hard working, and a positive influence. This is a time demanding job and can require overtime every week. Please only apply if you are willing to work second/night shift (currently 4:30 p.m. to 3 a.m.) and some Saturdays. Previous experience on slitting line or steel processing is preferred but not required. Previous steel inspection experience preferred.
