Job Description

Description Sigvaris is currently looking for a Quality Technician & Safety Coordinator with our team in Holland, MI. As a leading compression solution provider, we are not just a company that manufactures products. We are a global team on a mission to help people feel their best. Reporting directly to the Supervisor, the Quality Technician & Safety Coordinator is responsible for following quality assurance procedures, conducting the auditing/inspections of our products in the production areas, identifying production, process, or product issues, and reporting. This position actively supports the continuous improvement activities. This position is also responsible for coordinating the Safety Program in conjunction with the external safety consultant.

7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    Friday:
    7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assists the numbering, sorting, filing, storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy ISO documents. Ensure retention policies are followed.
    • Effectively and efficiently conducts Finished Goods, In-Process, Label and Raw material audits/inspections of products (this includes detailed documentation and summary reporting).
    • Assists in the preparation of any QMS audits.
    • Controls non-conforming product and ensure proper disposition activities are performed.
    • Conducts scrap investigation and follow up activities.
    • Ensure customer complaints are documented and investigated.
    • Conducts periodic calibration and testing activities.
    • Conducts daily quality reviews with direct Supervisor/Manager and Production Management.
    • Accurately maintains filing system within established guidelines.
    • Actively participates in quality continuous improvement activities and policies.
    • Fulfills documentation and reporting requirements for the Quality Management program.
    • Actively participates with team in developing performance improvement targets for quality, service, and efficiency to ensure Quality program is achieving its goals.
    • Maintains production Accept/Reject Limit Samples.
    • Inspects returned and reworked goods and dispositions accordingly.
    • Ensures Returned Good Reports are validated for accuracy and reports any discrepancy.
    • Ensures quality of work conforms to established company standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Investigates, monitors, documents, and reports all quality issues.
    • Coordinates safety requirements in conjunction with the external safety consultant.
    • Supports physical inventory counts - Year End and Cycle counts as instructed in accordance with set procedures and planning schedules.
    • Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment.
    o Interacts with external and internal customers in a manner conducive to continued positive relationships. o Displays patience, courtesy and tact; demonstrates flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to cooperate while working with others or in place of others as necessary.
    • Demonstrates effective communication methods.
    o Supervisor and/or appropriate management staff are kept informed of developments affecting their functions. o Responds quickly to all oral and written communications. o Maintains and encourages an open line of communication with both internal and external customers. o Checks and responds to voice mail messages in a timely manner. o Accurately and legibly presents written data to affected internal/external customer.
    • Follows established company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with
    SIGVARIS
    policies, industry standards, ISO 9001 standards, and Federal, State and local laws.
    • Follows all work instructions, creates and maintains accurate records to meet all internal and external requirements to support the
    SIGVARIS
    Quality System and Quality Policy.
    • Accurately performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.
    Requirements EDUCATION and
    WORK EXPERIENCE
    • A high school diploma and/or equivalent in education and experience.
    • Working knowledge of and experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control
    • Experience in working with ISO Procedures/ISO Standards is preferred.
    • Working knowledge of Safety is preferred.
    SKILLS:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.
    e. Word, Excel.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
    • Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, bend for long periods of time.
    • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds and climb.
    • Finger dexterity and hand coordination required.
    • Specific vision abilities required for this includes: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.
