Summary:
The Vision Systems Sr. Engineer will support the prevention of quality issue in advance and maximize output (yield, OEE) through the establishment of inspection system, management of inspection equipment maintenance, improvement of inspection equipment performance, and the introduction of new equipment.
Responsibilities:
Perform Omron or Keyence Stand-alone Vision Controller by using various inspection logic Perform PC based inspection program developed by vendor that using various inspection logic Developing indirect machine vision program for inspection verification program Design a verification plan with third-party machine vision resources Supervise/encourage other members to improve vision inspection programing skills Lead/suggest/develop incident follow-up, root cause analysis and documentation processes Commission vision cameras for 2D/3D part inspection, and process control Establish vision systems test plans Document control system and equipment configuration changes Install, maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, inspection flow, control components - photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachometers and encoders Troubleshoot various status (I/O boards, encoder, light controller, modules and devices) Document procedures, including trouble shooting and root cause analysis Serve as Subject Matter Expert to improve equipment production Collaborate with multiple vendors Provide training to Engineers, Technicians, and Operators Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization Provide enriched feedback to enhance individual performance Establish and manage inspection machine standards Establish and revise

Manual Ensure compliance with all safety programs, policies and procedures Work in a clean room environment, to include wearing proper PPE, clean room suit and other gear during operation Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience
Experience:
7 to 10+ years of experience in continuous improvement or manufacturing in a highly automated and/or automotive engineering environment Robotic manufacturing equipment
Skills:
Practical knowledge in selection of cameras, displacement sensors, frame grabbers, lightning, lenses, etc. is preferred High proficiency with MS Office Suite Comfortable working independently and with others Results-oriented and perseverant Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Project and process management skills Strong attention to detail Technically proficient and motivated to continuously improve Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support entire production team
