Location:
Novi, MI We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance Inspector to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for inspecting electronic assemblies, cable assemblies, and raw materials to ensure compliance with quality standards. The position also involves training team members on inspection procedures and collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams to maintain high-quality production standards. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with a salary in the $50-60k/year range.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections on PCB assemblies, cable assemblies, and raw materials using various tools and documentation. Identify and document defects such as soldering issues, misaligned components, and other assembly anomalies. Conduct cable assembly testing using specialized equipment and verify firmware and MAC addresses on electronic assemblies. Complete receiving inspections for components and materials, and inspect repaired products. Train and mentor QA team members on inspection standards and procedures. Participate in internal audits, process reviews, and assist with updates to procedures and documentation. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere to all safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in QA inspection of electronic assemblies and cable/wire harnesses. Strong knowledge of IPC standards; certifications are a plus. Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and work instructions. Proficiency with common inspection tools and basic computer applications. Strong communication and organizational skills. Familiarity with
ISO 9001
2015 environments and x-ray inspection technology is preferred.
