1st Shift Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description Wynalda Packaging is an industry-leading folding carton manufacturer serving global leaders across a wide range of industries. This individual would inspect products manufactured to ensure compliance with contract specifications by performing the following duties. This position is a 1st shift position with regular hours of Monday

• Friday, 6:30am-3pm with overtime as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform and document "start-up" procedures per Work Instructions on: Printing presses, die-cutters and gluers (Graphic Drive) Printing presses and bindery equipment (Montana Trail) Perform testing on inbound raw materials. Make regular checks of retains throughout each job for each department. Verify proofs, sign-off sheets, and retains at the completion of each job. Inspect finished cut sizes of card, wraps, and books. Watch for mixed product. Inspect yellow marked material loads before die-cutting. Verify that the die-cutters are correctly separating yellow marked material. Keep yellow marked material separate from good material Inspect and verify color on customer samples. Perform testing on finished product. Check gluers for barcode readers and glue detectors. Inspect pulls and answer accordingly. Initiate sorting documents when required. Account for all scrap material and keep records. Audit workers and processes throughout entire company. Verify that everyone does line clearance between jobs. Check skid-tag to skid information before jobs are shipped. Perform milstandards on finished products. Complete shortage forms on any jobs less than count. Issue CAPARs. Other duties may be assigned.
